Golf Course Review: Cedar Ridge Golf Course
Great Challenging Little Course
Since new management took over this course in late 2010, there have been a number of very positive improvements. The course has very narrow fairways, and is basically cut out of the trees, which makes it a course with allot of nice challenges. It is definitely a placement course with many hazards, but now with a little more room to maneuver. Many areas have been cut back to allow better placement off the tee, and better placement to the greens. The greens are professional Bermuda, they are small for the most part, but are very well maintained. The sand traps are also nicely maintained. The greens putt very true, and also have many breaks, so they are a nice challenge to read. The new management has really improved this course, and made it a great golf experience. The only drawbacks to this course are the power lines across #5 (a par 3) and #6 (a long par 4). If you are a long drive hitter then the power lines are not much of a factor on #6, but they can be a bit of a distraction. Other than the power lines (which management has no control over), this is by far a very nice and very challenging little golf course. I highly recommend it, and will be playing it allot in years to come!
